1. Institutional Overview & Scope

Welcome to the Global Ophthalmic Institute (“GOI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our self-hosted digital learning platform located at globalophthalmicinstitute.org. By creating an account, enrolling in courses, or utilizing our clinical resource library, you agree to comply with these terms.

2. Clinical & Educational Disclaimer

All educational modules, video lectures, diagnostic protocols, and downloadable toolkits provided by GOI are designed solely for professional upskilling, continuing clinical education, and capacity building.

• Not Independent Medical Licensing: Completion of GOI courses or receipt of digital completion certificates does not grant independent medical licensing, legal accreditation, or clinical practice authority in any jurisdiction.

• Clinical Decision-Making: Course content is peer-reviewed and aligned with international health standards. However, local health guidelines, institutional protocols, and individual clinical judgment must always supersede online instructional material during patient care.

3. User Accounts & Platform Conduct

• Account Registration: You must provide accurate registration details during student or faculty onboarding. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials.

• Academic Integrity: Students must independently complete all assessment modules and interactive quizzes without unauthorized assistance or automated scraping.

• Prohibited Conduct: Users may not upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized database breaches, or distribute spam through institutional community features.

4. Intellectual Property & Asset Usage

• Copyright Protection: All course structures, video assets, brand elements, and written materials hosted on our platform are the exclusive property of GOI or its contributing clinical academic partners.

• Permissible Downloadable Use: Toolkits, reference guides, and PDF clinical protocols hosted in our Resources Library may be downloaded and printed solely for direct clinical reference, institutional teaching, and non-commercial educational translation.

• Prohibited Media Extraction: Video lectures hosted via our Bunny.net CDN are protected by domain-locking technology. Extracting, ripping, re-hosting, or commercializing video streams is strictly prohibited.

5. Faculty & Instructor Submissions

Clinical educators contributing materials to the GOI platform retain intellectual ownership of their original works while granting GOI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute the approved materials for educational purposes. All submissions undergo mandatory administrative review by the Executive Director prior to public publishing.

6. Limitation of Liability

GOI, its leadership, advisory board, and academic contributors shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from platform downtime, technical interruptions, or individual clinical application of course concepts.
